Good question. There is no "twitch" action (no first person shooting or aiming). There is RPG elements like leveling up various stats which help with event/conversation outcomes. This game really surprised me with clever writing and a unique story. It is, at its core, a point and click game but the exploration and exposition made it fun for me!

Never played it. RIft Breaker is great fun as well (if you like this genre of game). They've made a bunch of improvements since I've played as well (including co-op).

A Metroidvania is a game which unlocks new abilities that in turn unlock new areas that you have to backtrack to previous areas to find.

I bought Hades 2 for $30 Canadian in early access around the same time. Homeworld 3 feels like it has less content and a far worse story...sigh...

You would truly survive a zombie apocalypse! Well done!

Interesting points. There are a few games where you click around to find things (Resident Evil, Tohu, Myst, etc...). The different personality traits was a bit overwhelming for me but in sum, I think it was well done!

This game made me sad. I never buy games at launch...If I bought this for $20 or less, I might be fine...but this is inexcusable!

That might be true...it's a bit of an exploit anyways. But, stick with it! Unlock more traits and perks and create strong character that you can find on your way, you'll get there I promise. @@UncomfortableGameShorts Your videos definitely helped, so thank you. :) I finished 3/6 normal game modes, but I keep dying in the 25 day run; I even died with Valkyrie and Link at 10 days left. Any tips for 25 day run or do I just need to get very lucky?

@@treestand7994 I don't recall the 25 day run, there were a few runs that were harder than others. Have you unlocked all the perks and traits, there may be one that really matches your playstyle. In general, the tips I put in all the guides (I made more than one) were the only ones I felt the need to share.

@@peterc504 There's lots of free games that are trash. You're right, free doesn't mean good. I thought it had remarkable value given that it's free. It's a solid game which really reminded me of 2 RTS's I loved (Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander). Ever play either of those? The BAR community is also really nice, check out their Discord.

@@UncomfortableGameShorts of course I played those two!! Ta was the greatest rts I ever played growing up. Then came Supreme commander and blew everything away as an adult...I don't see the point of bar when faf is still the greatest rts ever...I hope that changes one day but there's really zero hope besides maybe sanctuary shattered sun but we shall see... back to faf. ..

It's very hard. Any of these tips help? The first tip isn't accurate. The weapons reload automatically while holstered (bit it takes the weapon twice as long). Hope this guide helps grg81

I'm enjoying the game very much. Totally captures the old Homeworld feel...the cutscenes are my least fave part...but I can live with it.

If you compare with Roguelike's like Hades, the overarching story helped make the repetitive gameplay make sense. This game lacks that framework and felt repetitive earlier. I could have clarified that point but I try to keep things brief in my videos and explanations.

LOL! The game explains the sparkles on the door or how to use ALT-F4 to reset a location and avoid losing a character if they die?

Depends on your playstyle. I outlined some in the video around the 4:00 mark. Get surgeon and/or mechanic on your allies (create custom characters with those, they will show up in your run). I loved Civilized as a trait! I also liked Warrior, Ultra fit, and specialist.

Not certain, been a while since I played. I focused on ranged attacks (magic and weapons with long range) to keep my health high.
